Brooke Henderson hit a second successive spherical of 64 to steer the Evian Championship by three photographs after day two.

The 24-year-old Canadian recorded eight birdies to achieve 14 underneath par on the Evian Resort Golf Membership in France.

Nelly Korda, the American Olympic champion, is second on 11 underneath par after claiming an eagle on the 18th.

In a single day chief Ayaka Furue of Japan dropped to eleventh after firing a one-under-par spherical of 74.

South Korean pair Kim Sei-young and Ryu So-yeon sit stage on 9 underneath in third place.

“It feels very nice to get off to a quick begin in a significant championship – it feels prefer it’s been some time,” stated Henderson, who received the 2016 Girls’s PGA Championship on the age of 18.

“To get it this far underneath par is de facto superior.”
